If you want to learn about the region’s history, visit the Archaeological Museum of the Costa Grande in the Fisherman’s Way, opposite the main beach in Zihuatanejo.

The Ixtapa beaches are famous for their small pieces of magnetite, a mineral which gives the beach its color and also has magnetic properties, providing health benefits from simply walking or playing on its sands. • Campo de Golf Palma Real, characteristically designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., in perfect harmony with the natural surroundings. It has 18 holes with sand and water traps. You can admire the coconut plantations, lakes and local tropical vegetation from the course. The mountains of the Sierra Madre del Sur form a beautiful backdrop.
